These are quite wide and VERY long wicks. Ideal for large jar candles with a single wick (in this case I made a wide neck test candle, quite large, about the size of a pickle and pasta sauce jar). They seem to be of very high quality and they burn really well I've found. No recessions, wobbles or anything like that. Good strong performance as far as possible. Note, however, that the wick weave is not as strong as it looks. Once the soy wax got into the fabric, it tried to fall apart. This is NOT what you want. So there goes the star. In fact, I've never had a wick try to unravel a braid. Probably worth another star but I'm feeling generous tonight. I solved this problem by waiting for the wax to start thickening and when it was reduced to the thickness of thickened tomato soup (candle makers know this step) I was able to successfully dip the wick intact. I had to give up other attempts because I was afraid it wouldn't work. But a candle wick burns great, so if you're willing to play around with that wick, it works just fine.
