The length isn't very long, I would RECOMMEND using an HDMI cable long enough to run from the TV to the seating area. I bought a 20ft HDMI (male on one end, female on the other end). It has a very thick outer plastic/rubber "braid" and is very durable. I bought it to share my phone's screen with my TV without the need for Wi-Fi. And that's exactly what he does. works very well.
