Review on BOSS Audio Systems CXX8: Powerful 8 Inch Car Subwoofer - 600 Watts, Easy Mounting [Available Individually] by Mark Colbert

I bought the 12" 1400w version for a double 12" sealed box big enough to fit under a workbench in my garage with each Subwoofer is in the down firing position. Powered by a 150W class D amplifier powered by a stereo subwoofer. I was very satisfied with the packaging. It was securely packed in a box and well protected from shipping hassles. This is a budget subwoofer but it does a really good job. I don't plan on giving more than 150-250W for my needs. It was easy to install and I love the look of the sub. It's something I didn't like until I saw it in person. I bought it anyway, knowing I wouldn't see it where I wanted to put it. It shoots in concrete and is installed in the corner of the garage. I use it in place of a traditional self powered home theater style subwoofer. I was able to build a box that suited my needs and enjoyed the project while saving money. I've included a few photos to complement an already well-reviewed product. I'm still on a modest break and it sounded great from the start - after about 25 hours of playback on it it sounds better all the time now. I would buy again without hesitation. I put a star for the decorative ring. Mine snapped from very light tightening of the bolts. This happened more than once. I didn't overdo it with hammers and didn't use a hammer. I just like that they are tight for a sealed box and the trim ring could be a bit more durable. For fun I removed the stickers from the magnet and used them to decorate my box.
