Not ideal for replacing the stock speaker

Purchased to replace the stock JBL rear subwoofer in my 2001 Toyota Avalon. It's not ideal for replacing the stock speaker, but I was able to install it without too much trouble. Sounds good with the storage system, and for the price I can't complain.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Security

No longer working (replaced)

worked well, did everything at low volume to break the speaker. less than a month and the speaker stopped working. I tested the other speaker to make sure it wasn't a wiring issue, but the other speaker works fine. not sure if it can be covered under warranty? (Update) Amazon replaced the speaker and it's been working great for months now!

Pros
  • Tested for a year
Cons
  • not reliable

CXX 10 Chaos: Car Audio

So far, so good. Make sure you roll it right or it will sound awful. This is the second time I've had so I knew what to expect. Not as boomy as the 12", but tighter and more controlled bass. It won't deliver the advertised power by any means, but it still sounds decent. I push in 200W and the sound is pretty good, not the best for the competition, but the Sound fills the factory speakers I mounted it in a compact sealed 0.65cc box Foot with infill in the trunk of a '09 Pontiac G6 sedan.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Fragile

Good cheap woofer on component subwoofers

Arrived early. Looks pretty well put together for the price. The foam padding on the cabinet side of the woofer mounting surface was an unexpected bonus. There is about 75W RMS hooked up to the stock woofer amp as an upgrade, which I don't think will be a problem as I'm sure this woofer is grossly overpriced. how much power But that's the norm these days, unicorn numbers. 😂Update 04/21/18: This 12-incher actually beats up! I am shocked. I have had many systems and many woofers and this thing…

Great purchase for a low price. Was very surprised by the quality.

Perfect for my money in my homemade Bluetooth boombox. I will buy again. This subwoofer is really good for its compactness and low price. I paired it with four 6.5 inch and one dual channel 100w bluetooth amplifier board for this subwoofer. Added one more. You are pretty good. Remember they are cheap. So expect them to sound like a cheaper subwoofer. our Yard Monster in the bass trumpet and built a stereo out of a tool box. Everything is held by magnets. I even added two 6x9 speakers. All in…

Great upgrade for an old internal subwoofer

I ended up buying two of these. I was looking for replacement drivers in two old SLS QG-5000W downfire subwoofers. These are home theater subwoofers not car subwoofers as I assume that is a common use for them. The original paper cones inside them were worn and cracked, so they were ready to be sent for electronics recycling. I felt they were worth it for the price because the amps in the subs worked well and I hate wasting stuff. After installing and configuring the first one, I was very…

I bought the 12" 1400w version for a double 12" sealed box big enough to fit under a workbench in my garage with each Subwoofer is in the down firing position. Powered by a 150W class D amplifier powered by a stereo subwoofer. I was very satisfied with the packaging. It was securely packed in a box and well protected from shipping hassles. This is a budget subwoofer but it does a really good job. I don't plan on giving more than 150-250W for my needs. It was easy to install and I love the look…

Absolutely fantastic price when you know what you are getting.

. That's one of the problems, although it's not what it claims to be. This subwoofer has a maximum power rating of 1000W, but that's not exactly the stat you want to focus on. The statistic to focus on is the RMS power, which is the power being consistently delivered to the subwoofer at all times. This subwoofer is rated at 500W RMS on its website, but in reality it can probably only pull 150 MAX before you risk damaging something. Actually it's not even close and they feed it 500 watts RMS and

Pros
  • . Very impressive.
Cons
  • . Hard to say.

I just bought a 2004 Corvette (love the body style and the pop-up headlights - he had them last year) and decided to add a subwoofer in the sunroof. I wasn't looking for a nightclub in my car, I was looking for something that balanced the sound and I didn't want to spend a lot. I chose this sub because of the price. I bought the 12" CX122. After building a custom 1.2 cu. foot (this was interesting from all angles as I wanted it to sit flat in the sunroof and point up at the glass to get the…
