. That's one of the problems, although it's not what it claims to be. This subwoofer has a maximum power rating of 1000W, but that's not exactly the stat you want to focus on. The statistic to focus on is the RMS power, which is the power being consistently delivered to the subwoofer at all times. This subwoofer is rated at 500W RMS on its website, but in reality it can probably only pull 150 MAX before you risk damaging something. Actually it's not even close and they feed it 500 watts RMS and it ends up exploding. And for that I can only give 4 stars. But. It's still an incredible value, even if it's not what it claims to be. This subwoofer (with 110W RMS) is powerful enough to make my whole car vibrate and shake the rearview mirror like crazy. It won't shake your car mirror or anything, but come on, what else do you want? This is the IDEAL volume. Just quiet enough that people around your car won't be disturbed by the volume, but loud enough to STAND in your car. It's great and it sounds great too! No distortion or anything like that. Simply crisp, clear sound. But it's not the best! Best of all, you get a 3-year warranty for just $3! If you're worried about it breaking because it's cheap, then no need to worry! You can buy it and a 1100W Boss amp and get a three-year warranty on BOTH for around $80. a true advocate of cheap sound. I got this subwoofer, a Boss Riot r1100M amp, an amp setup kit from Install-Gear, and even built my own cabinet out of Lowe's MDF wood, all for less than $140. If you were to pay for more well-known brands, $140 would only get you an amp. If you just want to add some spice to your system and don't want to spend a lot of money. THAT'S IT. I am really impressed. (To really hear the bass, listen to the attached video with headphones. Just listening through your phone's speakers or even cheap headphones won't do it justice.)
