I am a professional repair contractor, I have a number of Makita tools and this vacuum is fantastic! It works very quietly, sucks well, the hose is flexible and of high quality. It has a built-in mounting bracket and you can also switch the hose to the other side to use as a blower. It also has a large capacity at the bottom for all that crap you suck up. I was surprised to see that the filter is actually 3 stages. This is the main filter, then the foam, and then the fabric that is applied to it. Pretty impressive. At least two of them can be washed. In addition, the hose snaps into place with two small tabs and a twisting movement - not only when crimping. I'm sure it's designed that way for a reason, but I'm curious as to why the small bracket has two slots in the plastic that allow air to pass. . It seems like the suction power would be a little better without them. I could call Makita and ask. Great vacuum cleaner - buy it!
