An amazingly useful portable monitor

This portable monitor is fantastic. I have a Surface Pro 7 with a 12 inch screen and my old eyes sometimes have a hard time reading on this tiny screen. This portable monitor connects to Surface with a USB-C to USB-C cable and just works. I like to set it up as an extended display so I can use it as a second monitor and fill the entire screen. The picture quality is excellent. You can also connect your monitor to a dongle connected to a USB-C cable, and then connect it to your device with the included HDMI cable. I also tried connecting this monitor to my Note 9 phone and it worked surprisingly well. I haven't tried watching such movies, but I think it would be great if you had some sort of speaker or headphones for the sound (the monitor doesn't have speakers). The phone turns into a mouse with a touchpad, and you essentially have a super portable PC (you don't need a full keyboard just yet, although you could probably connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the phone). The monitor stand is a little cumbersome, but it works. It consists of a hinged cover that attaches magnetically to the monitor. I have another smaller portable monitor with a built in stand and would have preferred it, but the dual coverage and stand are fine. Just a little more tabletop space is required for installation. Overall I would highly recommend this portable monitor if you need a second monitor for your laptop or want to watch movies from your phone. The size is fantastic and the weight of the monitor is pretty light. This monitor and my Surface together are still lighter than a 17 inch laptop!
