Even with the filter, the microphone picks up too much background noise. Both the pop filter and the foam filter weren't enough to drown out noise. This is supposed to be a cardioid mic, meaning it should pick up sound from one direction more than the other. This seems to pick up sounds from all directions. You absolutely must use a shock absorber and even that is not enough to eliminate noise when typing on a keyboard on the same desk. However, the weight of the stand is very pleasant, which is definitely a positive thing. Height is limited for obvious reasons, so either place it under a table if you need it or get a barbell to hold it up. It would be nice to have headphones on this mic so you can control it. or input into a second device i.e. phone, headphones, DAC. This enhances its versatility along with the volume control and mute button. This is definitely for a studio or room with decent sound absorption, not an open space like an office.
