I have been flying for a week, this is my first quadcopter, which cannot be called a toy. First impressions are, of course, only positive. Flight stability is excellent, camera and gimbal work amazingly. In general, it is incredible that such a small device can stabilize video in flight so well. The maximum so far has flown at a distance of 1000 meters in the suburbs - there is a minimum of interference, there are no power lines or high-rise buildings, there is a minimum of wifi points for neighbors - but the lags from the video on the smartphone start at a distance of 300 meters, but this is most likely due to smartphone interference. If the smartphone is switched to airplane mode, then the range will be 700-1000 meters. At a distance of 1200 m, long signal delays began and RTH turned on. Flight altitude of 500 meters - no problem, relatively easy to gain and report reaching the ceiling. Also had a chance to test under extreme wind conditions. At the time of takeoff, there was a slight wind, but immediately after takeoff, strong gusts of up to 20 m/s began - the quadcopter simply blew off 300 meters, it simply stopped resisting the wind, it was not possible to return it to the takeoff point on manual control, I just looked helplessly at the map how he flew over neighboring houses and roads and increased his height so as not to catch the roofs of houses. Visual contact was lost. I already mentally said goodbye to him, I thought about how I would climb into the neighbors' plots in search of flashing LEDs. But the return home function worked well, the quadcopter flew to the takeoff point and managed to land it normally in the yard, we were lucky, there were no strong gusts for some time. Video quality is comparable to modern mid-budget smartphones. Well, yes, there is no 4K here, and 2.7K shoots only at 30 frames / s, but for me and FullHD at 60 frames / s for the eyes for such a modest device. More than 20 minutes has not yet flown, always returned with a balance of 20-30% of the charge. In general, the device is amazing for the money, I am very satisfied.
- Compactness. Ease of controls. Video quality. Weight - perhaps next year, amendments will be adopted in 2022, allowing flights on such small devices without permits. The absence of registration up to 250 g can hardly be attributed to the pluses, this is just the easiest and most painless procedure for legalizing flights. While flying to the EU, these 2022 restrictions are of little interest. The return home works, tested in very strong winds. The fly more combo set was very pleasing, the charging unit for three batteries, which can work as a powerbank, is generally a thing. The DJI Fly application is rather modest, but all the necessary functionality is definitely there: recording, camera settings, flight history, settings. The application crashed once, but otherwise it works stably. With compactness comes invisibility - at a height of 100 meters it is no longer heard or seen. The light gray hull blends in well with the gray Lithuanian sky.
- Compactness affected the convenience of working with the battery - I have large fingers and changing batteries is another quest, you are afraid to break the hatch. The range of the CE version (2.4 GHz for Europe and 2022) leaves much to be desired, the video from the camera noticeably lags at 300-400 meters, and when airplane mode is turned on on the smartphone after 800 m. Using wifi for communication is extremely impractical in city conditions - there is too much interference and channel intersections.
