Review on Hautmec HT0007-PL: Industrial Imperial and Metric Double Flaring Tool Kit for Precision Brake and Tube Flaring by Joshua Castillo

I think I messed up using the Ridgid flaring tool for SAE/inch tubing (it doesn't grip metric tubing though) was totally disappointed with how it works compared to ridgid. Thumb nuts to pull the blocks together require extra leverage to get the blocks close enough to clamp the hose (Ridgid has a clamp in the flared part of the tool with a shank in the handle for leverage). The lever bar in the flared part of this tool falls out easily as it is only flared at one end. I used a loose bar to tighten the wing nuts. The holes in the stem hold up well, but leave marks on the pipe that make it difficult to pass the flare nut through. The whole tool is functional but designed and looks like an economy class. Yes it works, but I found a ridgid metrics tool somewhere else that is my SAE's twin and I bought it after I got this one in my hands. .
