I use this floss a lot as I have a bridge. Apparently they are repackaging the thread to make it more user friendly. Simply tear the packaging in two and remove the thread by pulling on the protruding hard end. I used to have to (a) find the hard end of the thread and then (b) untangle it. It was more trouble than seemed necessary. These two "small" issues have been resolved. I've also noticed that the packaging tears quite easily even now, and the amount of wax on the thread seems ideal to me. The little trepidation I had before flossing doesn't matter anymore.
