(Added in July 2021: I thought everything was working fine for a year but am suddenly 29). Tests have shown that the wheel sensor, which the computer, if any, uses instead of GPS to measure distance, overestimated the distance with the correct wheel circumference, measured either with automatic calibration or on the ground. However, when I calculated the coefficient and made my wheel smaller than it actually was, the ride distance was accurate. To confirm that the Garmin 520 head unit wasn't the problem, I checked a friend's Garmin wheel sensor. After it automatically calculated my wheel size, the distance error was a more realistic 0.6%. My advice to anyone who owns/buys this Moofit sensor: CHECK YOUR DISTANCE! Either use Strava distance correction or ride 5-10 miles against GP System S only (no wheel sensor) and manual wheel size calibration. Because of this issue and the lack of a support website, I can no longer recommend Moofit sensors for use with a Garmin head unit, priced well or not. Only the heart rate monitor did well.) I bought this together with the heart rate monitor in addition to my new Garmin 520 Plus. I would have preferred to buy Garmin sensors based on previous experience, but whether purchased with the 520 as a set or individually, they are a lot more expensive than I think they should be. (To make matters worse, they don't sell 3 in a pack - they have to be purchased separately.) Once I realized that any Ant+ sensor would work with these computers, I started shopping and found these Moofits here Revain for almost half the price of Garmin. After a few trips I found them to work quite well, especially considering the price. The heart rate monitor is much more comfortable than my old Garmin (from the Edge 305 kit) and hasn't missed a beat so far. The plastic clip that secures the strap feels a bit flimsy, so I try to always fasten it while it's loose (under the rib cage) to minimize the risk of over-flexing. Both sensors were fairly easy to install, with a good selection of elastic straps for a snug fit. Both were quickly found by my 520 and always paired without problems. As for the speed sensor, it's quite difficult to understand how well it works due to the tight integration with GPS in speed recording. The cadence sensor is the only source of slight frustration here, constantly throwing out false highs, usually right after pedaling resumes after coasting down. At first the problem was very serious, but after moving the sensor further down the crank, the situation improved a lot (in this regard, it's the instructions that give Moofit another bad mark: it's very simple, with almost no information for troubleshooting) . and there is no website for technical support). Additionally, when it's running, it displays the current cadence perfectly and the averages seem accurate, which is more important than random spikes. Stars. A website would be nice, as would an instruction manual. Note their position before shooting or look at someone else (like me) to see the right angle. They really are a lot more trouble than they need to be!
