This is a good option if you need to power a device and don't want to unnecessarily buy a more expensive hub. I bought this based on a review of two packages of the same item stating it worked to power a ring shaped camera. Rating confirmed. This works great for powering my Ring Stick Up Cam Wired. It was probably an overstatement, but I use CAT 8 cables and have no problem getting power through them.
