It's called a peacoat and says it's a hooded cloak with a toggle, but it's not exactly a pea coat in the traditional or classic sense as it's not made of wool and has a belt. It's not exactly a veil coat either, as some other reviewers have claimed, as it doesn't have the traditional 10 buttons, is short for a raincoat, and isn't waterproof either. It's something in between. Although it is written that he is hooded, there is definitely NO hood. It is not pictured and has no additional hood function. This is definitely not a knit coat as it has no buttons at all. Looking at the listing and photos I wasn't expecting it to have a hood and didn't care if it was a cross between two types of jackets. I just loved the look and so did my son. If having one of those particular guys is important to you, just know that it's not exactly one of them. It says it's 100% cotton but honestly it looks like it's a blend. I'm not sure, but the fabric seems pretty decent, and the coat seems pretty well tailored and durable no matter the fabric. It is written that for spring, autumn and winter. I think seasonal clothing depends on where you live. In Minnesota where we live, this is definitely NOT a winter coat. However, it is good for most of spring and fall. I got 11-12 for my son who is 10 hoping he has room to grow and that is what I expect. It's a little big, but not too big. It should last for another 1-2 years, which is what I expected. Based on that I'd say the sizing is pretty accurate, but if you're unsure be sure to check the size chart. However, the price seems a bit high for this jacket.
