I use this on one of my large pots to cook a whole pack of spaghetti and it worked like a charm. I've cooked spaghetti with the strainer already attached so I didn't have to fiddle with them over hot water and steam. I didn't lose any of the spaghetti noodles and they held the weight well. I'm so glad I don't have to use a whole separate colander for things like pasta, potatoes, draining ground beef, washing and draining veggies, cooking corn on the cob, it's endless. The price was perfect especially for the product and I was able to hand wash it in seconds. I'm sure it will work great in the dishwasher as advertised, but it's so easy to hand wash quickly.
