Review on Troxel Rebel Helmet Turquoise Medium by Edgar Gomez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Enough more boobies!

I don't usually write reviews until Revain tells me it's time. I was looking for this. I have ridden horses all my life. Landed on my head many times and still - too vain to wear a helmet. A few years ago I bought a helmet - put it on a couple of times and hid it in the mirror. I looked like a giant alien bug with a head. I would risk a head injury or a brain injury. Stupid. A week ago I saw my friend jump off MY HORSE onto the sidewalk in front of me. As soon as I got home I went in search of low profile helmets. Judging by the reviews and photos, the helmets have not changed much. However, I was haunted by the image of a head hitting concrete at a rapid pace. Ordered a flat Troxel Rebel. I decided it was better to look like an idiot now than risk flaunting a drooling bib later. I put my new helmet on as soon as it arrived. No bobble head! I don't look good in a hat, period. but this helmet looks just as good as a baseball cap! It is very comfortable. I spent half the morning running around the house in it before realizing I was still wearing it! I'm really looking forward to driving this thing. I will keep the old helmet in my "other caravan" in case I ever forget this one, but plan on buying another one to keep handy. Advice to non-helmet wearers: don't let vanity get the best of you — nothing looks worse on a human than a concussion or multiple concussions. Well done Troxel.
