Aluminum tape is a great material. This product is, as I expected, well made and very (very) sticky. However, I found it very difficult to separate the backing from the sticky side. A very simple solution to this is to glue the removable backing in two parts with a very small gap (2mm) between them. I believe this would save on manufacturing costs but would make carrier removal trivial and quick. This is the type of liner used for label tapes, along with another type that has a 2mm margin on the top and bottom of the liner. Any such improvement that makes finding the gap in the substrate easier, regardless of the length of tape piece used, reduces installation time by at least 50%.
