Uses these on a 2004 4Runner Sport. I knew I wanted to level the car, and I knew it would be necessary to decouple the X-REAS suspension from the front shocks in order to rotate the strut. I did this by fully suspending the car from the frame and lowering the entire suspension before removing any hoses. I also had to reverse the way the hose was installed (see picture) otherwise it would be too short. I had to shorten the factory strut bolts by cutting them off a bit to fit under the body after the spacer. installed (I knew I had to do this). In general the results were very good. Matched the frame angle perfectly to my specific vehicle (V8 4Runner). If you have an SR5 or Limited you do not need to do any additional work on the X-REAS (other than shortening the factory bolts).
