I've used these to teach my dogs not to bark at every little thing (we live in the country but we have neighbors) and they were great. Our dogs may bark when someone approaches our driveway or when anything out of the ordinary happens (coyotes, horses roaming, strangers), but they will not bark at rabbits, raccoons, and the many stray cats we have. When my friend arrived with a new apartment living puppy, she needed help teaching her how to behave and not drive people crazy around her in her apartment. It works so well and I'm sure your neighbors will appreciate it. I know I would live in an apartment.
