In the review I mention that the socket is 3.75" in diameter. This is good because the old 4" ID cast iron pipe has a lot of rust and scale inside the pipe that needs to be scraped off before installation, but is still less than 4" ID. The plastic is nice and strong and unlike the old cast iron flanges, it actually goes into the drain pipe rather than around it. There is also enough room on the rod to adjust to get the desired height of the toilet. I think it's about 5.5cm from the bottom of the flange to the top of the flared rubber gasket.
