Review on Garmin Carrying Case Forerunner 010 10718 01 by Tracy Meyer

Lack of structure and separation

I will be returning this product. I bought this case to protect my Forerunner 220 in my suitcase when traveling and in my purse when I bring the watch to the office for a scheduled lunchtime workout. This appears to be sufficient to protect the watch from bumps and scratches, but the case is soft enough and lacks any structure, casting doubt on its ability to protect expensive watches from bruises/cracks. While it's big enough to fit a watch, charger, and heart-rate monitor (and maybe a pedometer too, although I didn't buy those accessories), most of this space is an empty space in the center that can hold all the components a mess. together. There is a mesh pocket on both sides of the bag. One holds the watch and charger (with the cable coiled and the watch band curved), the other, with the band folded multiple times, holds the heart rate monitor. However, I would have liked separate compartments for all of this, perhaps with a zip closure instead of an open top so there is no risk of the components rubbing and damaging each other. Ideally, I'd like a more durable case with more compartments - essentially a larger version of a hard sunglass case with separate sections for all of these pieces. If I had bothered to read previous reviews before purchasing (in a hurry to protect my Christmas gift) I would have known about the issues with this product and probably chose a different case.
