The torque setting does not allow fine tuning. The settings differ by 2.5 pounds from each other. If you need a key with stricter setup steps, buy an electronic key. One of the key elements of an excellent torque wrench is a good grip that maintains a consistent hand position when force is applied. The handle of this tool is made of plastic, making it easy to consistently press in the right place every time. I can't confirm the accuracy of the tool, but if you want an ultra high precision tool, pay the money and buy an electronic one.
