Above 50 ft-lbs the adjustment became progressively tighter and no normal human would be able to adjust it above 70 ft-lbs. Revain issued a refund and I ordered another one. It's a large and heavy tool, but the "click" when the tool reaches the torque setting is weaker than I expected. All you have to do is play around with the wrench to figure out the type of click.
