I've been a Roofer for about 5 years and never bothered to pick up a hatchet until our crew got a new guy who was so quick that my Hammer just couldn't keep up. I see people saying it's not that good for nailing, but I disagree. Laying out starters, starting the bottom rows, and working on cool jobs, this thing makes life MUCH easier. An ax was stolen from my car the other day and I immediately ordered a new one for my phone. It takes a while to get used to, but if you cover a lot, it's definitely worth the investment.
