Roofer's Best Friend

I've been a Roofer for about 5 years and never bothered to pick up a hatchet until our crew got a new guy who was so quick that my Hammer just couldn't keep up. I see people saying it's not that good for nailing, but I disagree. Laying out starters, starting the bottom rows, and working on cool jobs, this thing makes life MUCH easier. An ax was stolen from my car the other day and I immediately ordered a new one for my phone. It takes a while to get used to, but if you cover a lot, it's…

Great for felting. I haven't seen any other use for it.

I knock off plastic caps very quickly, but my boys do not. Drive a nail 200 percent faster with this hatchet and metal caps! And you don't have to be an experienced roofer to work fast. It's so easy to move fast, everyone at work can move fast. Makes dreaming easier. I don't see it doing so well for hand driving roofing nails. The magnet is smooth (no waffle) so it can slip off the nail. I also see that there is a nail at the end of the ax without knowing it and you go to hammer in another…

Nail hammer with large cap

I'm not a roofer by trade, but I like using tools that make my job easier. In my opinion, this hammer is only suitable for driving nails. The magnet doesn't hold and the overall feel and length of the hammer isn't good for driving roofing nails. As others have said, this takes some getting used to or the nails will bend. Swing down and away from you. Once you do that it works great, no more bending over and holding each nail. I removed the sensor and blade from the end. It looks dangerous with…

Cap Nailin' Hammers with Nails

I'm a roofer and they're almost a must have for cap riders these days. You're just incredibly fast with cap nails. That being said I've played through 3 of these because I usually only carry this hammer to work and they are *not* a substitute for a regular hammer. Ride those about 16th or gutter spikes? Congratulations, your face is horribly disfigured. Want to dive into things? You will break the handle by prying it from the side like I did 4 times. So yes, they are great for driving nails in,

Great little hammer

Bought this to make it easier for me on the roof, especially with button caps. Works great. Even if it takes some getting used to. I bent some nails because it doesn't work like a regular hammer. With my claw, I could easily pull out nails. I use it to cut roofing felt and shingles. Paper is a breeze, and tiling can be a little tricky at times just because it's awkward to hold and requires practice. I've tried hammering roofing nails with it and nothing worked for me, they kept bending. It was…

The ax is great for hand caps

I am giving 4 stars because of the price not the product they are very proud of. The ax is great for handcaps. They can move almost as fast as a primer gun once you get used to it. It took me about 10 square feet of paper before I really started to master it. It needs a strange feeling when you push the swing very close to the roof terrace with your hand and hit the terrace with your head so as not to bend the nails. I removed the fee, I rarely bet 3 tabs these days and I'm not a nail master…
