I'm not a roofer by trade, but I like using tools that make my job easier. In my opinion, this hammer is only suitable for driving nails. The magnet doesn't hold and the overall feel and length of the hammer isn't good for driving roofing nails. As others have said, this takes some getting used to or the nails will bend. I'm a roofer and they're almost a must have for cap riders these days. You're just incredibly fast with cap nails.
