The ax is great for hand caps

I am giving 4 stars because of the price not the product they are very proud of. The ax is great for handcaps. They can move almost as fast as a primer gun once you get used to it. It took me about 10 square feet of paper before I really started to master it. It needs a strange feeling when you push the swing very close to the roof terrace with your hand and hit the terrace with your head so as not to bend the nails. I removed the fee, I rarely bet 3 tabs these days and I'm not a nail master anyway. I've done a few clapboard repairs with some hand hammers and I really don't care, like I said, the weird swing it takes to drive a nail in can be hard on the joints if you hit a pebble on your backswing. The nail puller on mine is only good if the nail sticks out more than a little, otherwise you can't get under it. Love the fact that it takes a regular hook and straight blades, it cuts shingles well with any blade, but I really only use it for drying so I use a straight blade. It's good quality and should last a while and overall I'm glad I got it and will continue to use it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions
