I used this board as a base for building a surfboard. In itself this is a good cruiser with quality components. I added a surf adapter and replaced the bushing on the rear carriage only to be much softer (88A. Original is very hard). The main reason I bought this particular board is that the standard wheelbase is nice and wide so it works well with adapters like the YOW or Thruster 1 aka SmoothStar which bring the wheels a lot closer (narrower wheelbase) without the holes need to be drilled. Another thing that needed to be done was to add risers to level the board and keep the wheels from biting. It turned out to be a great surfboard for a fraction of the cost.
