Review on 🐱 Honest Kitchen Minced Grain-Free Wet Cat Food - Chicken, Salmon, Cod, Turkey with Protein-Rich Gravy (Human-Grade) by Tina Moore

6 out of 9 cats liked it, owner not so much

I have 9 cats, only 6 of them liked this scent. (I also tried the Salmon and Pollock flavor and all 9 loved it.) One of my cats is old and weak and really needs to gain weight so I bought both flavors to help her but she was one of the ones who did "Don't even touch that smell." She sniffed and turned away. "It's a runny, squishy texture, not a sauce, but not a pie either." This reminds me of what happens when you thin the pie and stir it. I have two issues with both flavors. First it's the smell, it stinks. I mean it really smells like fish and my whole kitchen smells like fish if I put on a little. My next problem is the box. It is in an aseptic box that needs to be opened with scissors. Each box weighs 5.5 ounces, the same amount as large cans of cat food. Once opened, there is no way to cover or close the box. At least with glasses you can cover the glass with a silicone lid until the next meal, but this is not possible with a can that has been cut off at the top. I ended up putting it in a ziplock bag but I don't really like that option as the smell oozes out and the box gets dirty. So the fact that 1/3 of the cats don't like it, including the ones I got because of it, plus the bad smell and the box that can't be sealed between meals, I wouldn't get that taste again.
