I bought this to replace one with a fogged lens so it was mainly wired. I found that anyone who plugged in the original cable used the little red wire for power and it was always on. I noticed this because the LEDs were on. The easiest way to hook this up is to plug the video cable into the head unit and turn off your car or truck's reverse lights. Easy. Ignore that tiny red wire unless you know what it's for. Not me. It works fine without.
