I used this to check the SRS airbag code on my 2006 GMC Sierra pickup - my old reader could only read engine codes. The SRS module was able to detect this and read my code. It automatically recognizes the VIN and has a vehicle information assistant (make, model, etc.) every time you connect it to a vehicle, which takes a little longer than I was hoping. I'll probably stick with my smaller engine code reader. For the price, this device is worth the money. The only thing that disappointed me is that it doesn't come with a charger (it can be charged when plugged into the OBD port).
