I love these needles because they are made out of bamboo. When I'm knitting with metal-tipped circular needles, the stitches tend to slip off when I don't want them to. Bamboo is warm, comfortable to the touch and has no flaws. I used it to knit socks (using two circular needles) and now I use it to knit a scarf. I've read that some people don't like them because the plastic part is tight. An experienced knitter told me what to do with it: boil a cup of water in the microwave. Take the mug out of the microwave. Hold the two bamboo ends parallel to each other and dip ONLY the plastic part into the water. Do not insert the bamboo part. Hold it for about twenty seconds, then gently pull the needle out, holding a bamboo end in each hand. Voila! No more hard coil. It may be slightly curved, but this is normal. Let me know if this works for you too!
