Review on Dorman 56633: High-Quality Heated Door Mirror Glass πŸ”₯ for Volkswagen Passenger Side - Compatible with Select VW Models by Craig Shah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Will not fit Jetta (MK5) from 2005-1/2 to 2007

This item is listed as suitable for 2006, 2007 and all 2005 VW Jetta. It will not fit MK5 (5th Generation) late 2005-2007 models. When viewed from the rear, the electrical connections are in the lower left corner. Your mirror should look like the one shown above with 4 angles defined. Late Model VW Jetta 2005-2007 (not this mirror): - From top left to bottom right, your mirror measures 7 to 7-1/8 inches (178mm to 181mm). - Viewed from the rear, the electrical connections are located at the top right. - Your mirror doesn't have 4 defined angles like it does. The top right corner looks more like a semicircle than an angle. If your mirror is 7" in diameter, this mirror will not mount. I'll try to upload a picture of the two side by side. On the plus side, if you drive a model that fits, you can get a great deal for a used, like-new mirror. The seller is Warehouse Deals, which is actually Revain, who sells their returned items. They have a couple of mirrors that were sold to someone like me, didn't install (because they didn't fit) and then were returned. They are as good as new but may be missing a simple installation guide. You can search for "replace vw jetta mirror" and you will find videos showing how easy it is to replace it. Basically, you just pull out the old mirror, unplug the wires that connect to the heating element, and then flip it over. on the DormanProduct website.
