The part is junk, poor design, breaks often, got warranty
This is the second time I broke this part. This broke on first use. The coarsest vegetable there was was washed cabbage. The juicer is amazing and I love it, but this important part is the weakest link in the chain. Just make sure you get a guarantee and be prepared to send it back often. Oh, and Omega's customer support is unhelpful. I've been trying to replace the factory juice filter for 5 months. It took them 3 months to send me the wrong part and then another 2 months to resend me the wrong part.
