This product arrived shortly after I ordered it. It was made from heavy materials. I used it to mount a 48 inch flat screen TV above the fireplace on a ceiling beam in my office. I think the TV was a bit bigger than recommended but it was within the weight limit. In my case, I had to place the TV very close to the ceiling, so the mounting stand was too long. It can be adjusted, but even the shortest version is still too long. I ended up cutting the metal tube to make it shorter and drilled new holes to put it back together. Not too heavy if you have it on hand. I used 3" deck screws to mount it to the ceiling joist instead of the included hardware. The bracket for the back of the TV worked perfectly. It was a little tricky to mount to a pole but probably because we don't have much space had to work with the mantel just a few inches below and the bracket was very close to the wall. Once up it works great. We can easily turn the TV to one side or the other depending on where you are in Sitting room. The TV isn't always perfectly horizontal - it can vary from 8 to as much as a quarter of an inch. You wouldn't notice if you didn't measure, and as I said, my TV was larger than recommended. I think I could probably tighten the screws on the back a bit to fix this.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had to shorten the item.Overall was but it was exactly what I needed.
