Review on 🚪 Blum BLUMOTION 973A0500: Kitchen Hinge Damper for Soft and Effortless Self-Closing Cabinet Doors (8 PCS) by Roberto Garrido

Ordered 8 of these for full overlay hinges from Blum after reading the reviews. The hinges are all the same, installed 15 years ago. Was looking for an easier solution to lessen the door slamming versus replacing everything and thought to learn and try this. Great idea in theory. I was warned by other reviewers. Out of 8 I took 4 (standing on my head and rubbing my stomach). Unfortunately for no cabinet I was able to take 2, 1 on each side to really get a feel for what it would be like if they worked. I took one off for fun to see if I could catch it again, but I couldn't. I ended up just sticking a folded piece of paper between the cabinet doors (like they do under the table in a restaurant when it's rocking) and that deadened the sound pretty well. To those who made them work, more power to you, and you are luckier than me. I'm sending them back looking forward to the day when I have the opportunity to rebuild what may be a future home and make the right decisions about hinges and drawer slides. Big oops.
