I thought I would buy NEW. Bought 3 8 pack and got a zip bag full of closet dampers. Easy to install. If they work at all. Mixed bag. Literally. I think this seller packs a bunch of defective items and sells them at full price. Buyer Warning. This seller is dishonest. I would not trust him/her enough to even return the product. One day you got my money. Revain should ban this seller.

And I didn't even know it existed!

In our house it is not quiet to close the closet doors. so sad! With all granite and tile floors, no matter how hard we try, at the last second you let go of the door and the noise gets louder! Then I stumbled across these heavens! These little beauties just slide straight onto the bow and bingo! Closet doors close quietly. Best money I've spent. Didn't stop until all the kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and even living room fixtures were done.

Nice metal body but plastic tip

I thought it had rubber tips so it closes quieter but it's actually plastic. So technically you can hear a slight knock, but it's pretty fake compared to not having it. There are also no instructions, which would be nice. If anyone is reading this, first tip it to the gray part of the tip (that goes in) into the hole with the clips THEN vice versa. Then when you need to take it out, grab the gray part and pull it up on that side. The first.

Not created right away! fits hinges

I have custom cabinets with 'Blum' hinges and these clips should have fitted but it was a mixed bag! I bought 2 packs because I have a lot of closets. Of the two packages maybe 4 stayed in place, the rest either didn't hold up (jumped out right away) or didn't stand up at all! I tried for an hour before my finger went numb, I even paid a contractor to try to put them in but he had no luck either. Why doesn't the Bloom clip match the Bloom loop? Anyway, it took so long to find a contractor whoโ€ฆ

Easy enough to install

Once you learn how to position them, how to snap them in, they are easy to install. I've installed about 20 of these over the course of 4 months and most still work well, some of them have gotten stiffer and don't always allow the doors to close fully and I need to give that extra push to close fully. Overall I'm happy with them, but time will tell how long they last. UPDATE 7/15/20: Self-closing of some mechanisms now requires more pressure to close completely. So after 5 months I have aโ€ฆ

Works well but difficult to fit

These should be attached to the existing Blum hinges. As mentioned, this should depend on the version of blum loops you have. Mine have the requisite square hole and are about 12 years old, but these blocks didn't pop out right away. They won't slide right away, they won't catch the hole. I researched online and others had the same problem. Some people have managed to adjust (bend) the handle a bit and squeeze it straight. It took me a few tries to get the bend right, but I was able to installโ€ฆ

Wrong product, poor fit, no instructions, watch out

Ordered 8 of these for full overlay hinges from Blum after reading the reviews. The hinges are all the same, installed 15 years ago. Was looking for an easier solution to lessen the door slamming versus replacing everything and thought to learn and try this. Great idea in theory. I was warned by other reviewers. Out of 8 I took 4 (standing on my head and rubbing my stomach). Unfortunately for no cabinet I was able to take 2, 1 on each side to really get a feel for what it would be like if theyโ€ฆ

Square Hole Hover is wrong

Ok guys if you're like me I read the 5 star reviews and thought 'What a great idea, easier and cheaper than replacing hinges! " Not so fast! Blum has revised its support hinges and now only works with "new" design hinges. As I said, not easy - look at the cup (the part that goes into the cupboard door) - the new hinges have a full circle (a semi-circle extruded into the raised (screw) part of the cup. See photo from my "old" hinge "design"" - there is no embossed circle on the cup. Theโ€ฆ
