I can hear others at a reasonable distance, but others can hardly hear my transmissions. I tested this thing with a SWR (standing wave ratio) meter and got very poor results. ------- The ideal ratio is between 1:1 and 1:5. Anything over 1:2 is considered bad and will cause excessive wear on the transmitter in your CB radio. ---- THIS antenna, made with a 1:3 ratio, which is terrible. I will only be using it until I can upgrade to a decent antenna. Otherwise I'm afraid that I could break my radio.
