Magnet not strong enough

I never bothered to test this antenna as the magnet is too weak to hold it properly to the car. My other magnetic antennas are strong, but this one moves with the slightest push. It might be good for 30 mph, but I wouldn't trust it to go faster.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Appearance

Complete crap, the best antennas

I bought 3 of these from Wal Mart and they all have SWR over 2.2! (some more than 3!). And I checked with two different SWR meters. The results were the same. I also tried "tuning" them by loosening the screw and increasing the length, but that didn't change much. Garbage.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Not bad but...

decent for $15

I took this antenna for temporary use until I bought a better one. It worked fine but the SWR was pretty poor and I couldn't get too much range. The magnetic mount is also not strong enough, it slides too easily. I would recommend spending the extra $15 and getting Wilson's small will.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No paint required

Don't waste your time and money!

If you even need a decent CB antenna. look elsewhere I got this Scosche antenna mostly as a makeshift until I got something else. I may have only driven a few stations with this antenna. Luckily I didn't get too much because I only paid $15 for it. But with these antennas, you really do get what you pay for. If you want to go on the cheaper side, choose Wilson or Cobra.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • For old

Hope it works. best in Antennas

I'm sticking this out of a window in my attic with a piece of black metal taped to it. However, I could not receive any real signals. Maybe I live too far away from everyone in the NE, maybe nobody's there at night, or maybe my NE really sucks as a gesture of goodwill, but this thing doesn't remove anything but noise. I use it on the second floor of a house that is in the suburbs. Hope you have better luck!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Annoys

Poor signal strength and weak magnet

I can hear others at a reasonable distance, but others can hardly hear my transmissions. I tested this thing with a SWR (standing wave ratio) meter and got very poor results. ------- The ideal ratio is between 1:1 and 1:5. Anything over 1:2 is considered bad and will cause excessive wear on the transmitter in your CB radio. ---- THIS antenna, made with a 1:3 ratio, which is terrible. I will only be using it until I can upgrade to a decent antenna. Otherwise I'm afraid that I could break myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Absolute rubbish ๐Ÿšฎ

Absolute rubbish. waste of money. Land plane on this thing is a nightmare. I fiddled with this thing to get it grounded properly and spent a whole week taking it apart to see how this thing works, it's cheaply made. I even tried adding a ground strip I made from old copper wire. It does not work. Eventually I lost my temper and ripped the thing off the car and broke it in half. Do not purchase this post here or at Walmart where I purchased mine. But all is not lost, now I use the magnet as aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Compatibility
