Great deal. Surprised how well made the tripod base and quick release plate are! The first impression is that it is comparable to Manfrotto in quality and the price is much lower. Good effect of the clamping screw of the quick release plate, all threaded holes cut cleanly, no roughness on the cast parts, good workmanship all round. The built-in bubble levels are a bonus. I will be using them to mount my Nikon D7000 on a swing arm for desktop video/photography. We'll have to see how well it holds up the camera. A minor design issue is the limited number of side attachment points (only two: 1 @ ¼-20 and 1 @ ⅜-16), so consider adding a cheese block or rail attachment system for additional accessories.
