This quick release meets my expectations except for one thing. It didn't include a D-ring screw. The screw that attaches the plate to the camera can only be tightened with a screwdriver or muzzle. The plate sometimes needs to be removed for various reasons and the D-ring screw makes this easy. I had to buy separately. They don't cost much. This product should come with one.

It's cast metal / cheap, I mean really cheap. It may or is more likely to tear or break if dropped. If it will be reused and something needs to be removed quickly, this item will work just fine. I was expecting the item to come with some mounting screws, I think I would give it 5 stars for the price if it came with 4 mounting screws. Now we need to order the screws. This is not a deal breaker, just extra steps to make it work.

Constructed of premium materials and with high-tech finishes, the P200 QR Clamp Adapter makes life easier for the photographer at the same time ensure the safety of the camera and last them firmly. I mounted this adapter on a medium duty tripod to mount a lightweight 8x10 camera. The easy installation of the camera and the fixed position without hesitation is what I wanted.

This is a fantastic mount! Very durable; Easily mounts to any tripod and is rock solid. Even for a heavier camera like my Nikon with a 1000mm lens. Quick release is a push of a button and the camera extends immediately. Re-attachment is easy, just slide in and a positive "click" indicates everything is secure. The built-in bubble level is a nice finishing touch, as are rubber tracks to protect the camera from scratches. The small purchase price is worth it!

Great deal. Surprised how well made the tripod base and quick release plate are! The first impression is that it is comparable to Manfrotto in quality and the price is much lower. Good effect of the clamping screw of the quick release plate, all threaded holes cut cleanly, no roughness on the cast parts, good workmanship all round. The built-in bubble levels are a bonus. Rating: As described. I'm using a tripod with a non-adjustable QR mount (Sony) where the weight distribution wasn't ideal on my new Sony 4k camcorders (on the AX33 and AX53 the mount is really bad, way forward of center for some reason). It works and gives my camera mounts a rest...until it breaks IT I've never trusted a camera mount. This thing is very strong and sturdy and will hold up better than a cheap 1 1/2" plate. This quick release is also a great addition to this product. The locking mechanism on it is solid and doesn't need to be tightened like most kits like tripod stands. This is a professional panel and you can't go wrong with this, my only downside (but it doesn't affect the stars) is that I had to use my old base

I only received this product a few days ago so will update if I use it and see how its durability lasts. But on first use, it's a very good option for those on a tight budget.
