Ok, for the past 3 years I've been using Summer Solutions to help flush out the chlorine smell and better preserve my swim team's kids' suits. I read another review of this product that said they use an API for this purpose. API is 16oz for about $7 vs 8oz SS for about $10 = API is definitely cheaper. In terms of use, I use 1 SS cap each time (not the 2 that are recommended). As for the API, I'm using 1/2 Capfull. I've been using the API for his suits for 3 weeks now and so far so good. The smell of chlorine has been removed and the suits look the same as before use (only given 3 weeks but 3 times a week is a good start). I do an extra rinse of the product after soaking (don't know if it's necessary or not, but I choose to) which is an extra step over needing to rinse for SS, but I don't mind the dollar savings .
