Review on ADATA Ultimate SU650 120GB Solid State Drive SATA Ultimate SU650 120GB (retail) by Adam Woniak ᠌

Terrible product, not happy with the purchase!

In actuality, the laptop is utilized as a stationary computer; it is immobile. After 3.5 months of work, I noticed that when I tried to access the SSD, the disk took a while to respond. Victoria HDD, Aida64, CrystalDiskMark, and A-Data Tools all indicated that there were an abnormal number of reassigned sectors (in less than a week, the indicators in attribute 5 increased from 330 to 12200), and the indicators in attributes 196 and 199 also increased from 5 to 195 for "attempt to reassign sectors" and "cable I removed the SSD and replaced it with a hard drive. Despite operating in this laptop for more than 36 thousand hours, the hard drive linked to the same connector did not exhibit any defects in the same qualities. The damaged sectors vanished after I reorganized it as an external SSD drive and formatted it, leaving only two at the very end of the disk (they are also discovered when scanning the disk surface). I put up wine 7 64; it seldom fails (blue screen), but attributes 05, 196, and 199 stopped expanding, and the system was set for 50 minutes, which is faster on a hard drive. Three weeks after the reinstallation, it once more started to slow down, heat up, produce noise, and grow the qualities 5, 196, and 199. I tried to clone the system drive to another SSD, but the tools kept telling me that the file system was corrupted and that I needed to use Wine 7 to verify, locate the faults, and fix them before trying again. The message indicating the file system needs to be checked appears when you reboot, and it checks, finds, eliminates, and repeats. The SSD's health is only 99% after 3,000 hours of operation, but the smart status is still good. The decision to repay the funds was taken after the service center examined the SSD.

Pros
  • Easy. Comfortable. Installing a Lenovo B590 into a laptop and switching the built-in Seagate drive for a DVD drive was simple. 3 years of warranty. Naturally, ssd operates considerably more quickly than the old hard drive, however in my case, it is not as reliable.
Cons
  • After just three and a half months, accessing the SSD occasionally caused it to freeze. Windows itself don't always start, some programs stopped working, you could open a game in games, go to the beginning, and then nothing happened (you reinstalled the system on the previous hard drive and all the same games, programs ran as before). It started to warm up to 65 degrees (programs already indicate that ssd is abnormal for this above 60 degrees). All programs simultaneously display the smart SSD excellent status. After reinstalling wine 7, everything went back to normal (as indicated in the comment), but after just three weeks, everything is still the same: the system periodically crashes, and indicators in characteristics 5, 196, and 199 continue to rise. I passed over to the service center, having only been employed for five months at the time.
