Short review: This lighter is excellent. Bad reviews come from people who can't hit the button three times. Trust me, you need a fuse on your electric lighter. Many of the cheaper electric lighters are downright dangerous and have very silly designs. Example: Why would a candlelighter have a button next to the tip that reaches down to the candle wick? This lighter solves this and other problems. It's safe, it has a button on the bottom for starting a fire or my new favorite use: lighting my camping stove at altitude without worrying about the effects of cold and altitude on a butane lighter or cold hands that lead the fire. -Steel (which you still bring as a backup) Overall fit and finish, tolerances, build quality: 5 stars. bad reviews and buy!
