I've had them for a few months now. I used to have hand grinders, but some parts wore out and died. I had a problem with the manual versions because I cook a lot of meat. Because the manual versions require two hands, I had to wash my hands every time I turned the meat or touched anything. With the battery version, I can turn the meat with one hand and season it with the other. The included stand is useful. Cutters don't always fit perfectly, but this is an easy fix. I like the finger ring on top so I can take all the grate and move it to where I'm cooking. The degree of grinding can be easily adjusted from coarse to fine. Grind size consistency is a bit patchy. I didn't find that problematic.
