Review on 🐠 Hygger 24V DC Submersible Saltwater Aquarium Sump Pump with LCD Display Controller - 800-2650 GPH by Jessi Hodges

I have a 40 gallon freshwater aquarium with a 10 gallon sump. I know it's unusual to have a sump for a planted tank, but I liked having all of the tank's systems out of sight of the display tank. I started with the AC pump but it was too noisy and difficult to control. This 800 GPH DC pump was the perfect replacement. It's almost completely silent. I have to stick my head in the swamp area to hear a low hum. The LCD controller is easy to use and the settings are saved after a power cycle, which is handy since I set the pump to 30% for a relatively quiet state. Flow so a 100% restart would unbalance my hydraulic system. It has no trouble refilling and easily negotiates the roughly 4 foot headroom between the sump and the top of the show tank. It should only pump clean return water, so I haven't tested it with any specific substance or salt water. Let's see how the lifespan changes over time. 8 months in use so far without any complaints.
