Good block for the price; much revenge!

I have a 98 F150 with a blind spot right behind the truck because of the tool box. It was impossible to see a small child from behind. Hence the reason for the camera. I decided to write this review because I was surprised by the quality and the ease of installation. When I received the camera/monitor I tested it on the workbench for a few hours before proceeding with the installation. There are no problems here. I first mounted the camera with license plate screws. I then removed the taillight assembly and connected the camera to the taillight positive and negative wires as instructed in the manual. The instructions were sufficient, but could have been translated a little better. I then connected the monitor and put it in reverse to make sure my connections were correct and that they were correct. I then routed the wiring with tapes along the chassis to keep the cable away from the bus. I ran along the cable and under the carpet to the monitor and that's it! You'll have to use your imagination to figure out the best way to get inside and find places to attach cables. IMPORTANT! Wrap the plugs in good quality electrical tape to keep out the elements. I have Band 88. The device works fine. Being a primary rear camera/monitor, it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but for the money it certainly can't be beat. Corresponds to the description and works perfectly! Disclosure: I am an electronics engineer and know about wiring. But if the buyer takes it easy, reads the instructions, and turns this camera into a fun project, they'll be pleasantly surprised.
