I bought this leash specifically for dog training as I didn't like any of the other leashes we had on hand. I was looking for something accessible but useful. I think I found it. Very comfortable to wear on the wrist. I didn't have the problem of my wrist getting stuck in the grip like some other leashes we own. Seems to be holding up pretty well so far! My only complaint, if I had to choose, is that the shortest handle feels almost too short/too close to the dog. We have a medium to large sized dog. It weighs about 80 pounds and rises above my kneecaps when I stand. I don't have to lean all the way in to pet him, but I can't reach him without leaning slightly to one side if that makes sense. If you have a small dog I can't imagine using the shortest handle at all unless you are on the shorter side yourself or like to lean forward when walking. That's too low a limit for our fairly large dog. So I wouldn't recommend it for a small dog, but it should work fine for larger dogs. This can be a bit uncomfortable for medium-sized puppies.
