Review on 🔧 Whiteside Beading Router Bits 502 by Josh Elkins

I used these bits to make maple stair nosings with the OF1010 router. Very good bits, cuts maple effortlessly and leaves a very smooth surface both along and across the grain. The box looks like an economy class plastic, but for storage it is quite enough. I really liked the foam tray storage for getting bits out of tight holes in wooden containers (like the set I got from Chinese brand Woodland USA) or plastic (Freud are good bits, nice looking individual bit boxes but heavy), to get sharp bits) can be a problem. The bits were covered in a protective layer of thin gel/plastic compound that was easy to remove (no sticky, oily stuff like the cheaper brands). A set of smaller bearings is a plus, although I didn't need them. The benefit of having 5 different sizes in the set was that I could try out each of the bits and then my wife and I decided what would fit best. . Compared to the individual prices of rounded bits in the wood trade, the discount when buying a set is small, but also no price premium for first-class bits. Highly recommended.
