Finding a water filter that would remove contaminants and add alkaline properties was important. After comparing several pitchers on price, quality and customer reviews, this one was the winner. The pot is large, the lid does not close when pouring, the filter is easy to change. The taste of the water is greatly improved and the flow through the filter is more than decent. The only improvement I would recommend is a clearer statement in the product description of what contaminants are removed by this filter. I found the information after some research but it would be better if it was listed in the product information. Enjoy the benefits of drinking alkaline water regularly.
