Glad to have them to find. I moved into my house a little over 3 years ago. My home uses well water and this seems to have resulted in more hard water deposits in my toilets than I have experienced with tap water. Admittedly, I wasn't very good at cleaning the toilet. I found that not cleaning the bowl more regularly resulted in hard water deposits that were very difficult to remove. When I moved in, I found a sandcloth behind one of the bowls. It was already heavily worn and later use rubbed off even more of the abrasive on the "cloth". It got to the point where I was trying to find what was left of the abrasive. I thought I used a "plumber's wipe". But all the "plumbing" I found were in 1 1/2" wide rolls. And they were offered in a variety of grits. , I found this product and it turned out to be my pretty worn item So I haven't actually used this purchased product yet but I'm sure I've used this one just with sand actually still attached to the surface I don't want to use harsh chemicals as I have a septic system The Using these abrasive "cloths" reduces my reliance on chemicals to remove limescale. They are effective, but admittedly require some effort to remove deposits. And like I said, I'm doing my part by making deposits to become a bigger problem than they need to be. My subsequent efforts are my penance for the poor maintenance of my toilet. It's kinda funny. I When dealing with the new "substances" they appear significantly stiffer. and more abrasive than the only one I've wanted to keep using after years of cleaning with it. So I'm glad to find a replacement for this pathetic old one that I wanted to put to good use. Hopefully with better preventative care of the bowl and the sandier rags I'll have fewer problems in the future.
